Washington State is currently home to nine distinct American Viticultural Areas including the recently approved Rattlesnake Hills AVA. Growers tend 30,000 vineyard acres for over 400 wineries making it the nation's second largest producer of premium wines.
Beyond cabernet sauvignon and chardonnay, our state now offers such diverse varieties as:
cabernet franc, chenin blanc, gewurztraminer, lemberger, malbec, merlot, muscat canelli, nebbiolo, pinot gris, pinot noir, reisling, sauvignon blanc, syrah, sangiovese, semillon, zinfandel.
In recognizing this bounty, our goal at STATE VINES is to offer excellent wines from select wineries throughout the state.
